Description
The Althorp console table offers more than just a surface; it's a statement of classic design and functional elegance. The combination of mahogany and reclaimed oak veneers creates a rich, varied wood grain that adds character, while the pollard oak restoration technique enhances its antique appeal. The two integrated drawers provide a perfect spot for keys, mail, or other small essentials, keeping your entryway or living room tidy. The generous 64-inch width makes it ideal for showcasing a collection of cherished objects or for use as a serving surface, while the lower shelf offers even more display potential. Its traditional styling seamlessly integrates into classic, transitional, or even eclectic decor schemes, making it a versatile addition to a formal living room, spacious foyer, or elegant dining area.

OUR MATERIAL PHILOSOPHY

Thoughtful Materials, Made for Living

At Marivelle Lane, material selection begins with how a piece should look, feel, and live in your home. We favor tactile surfaces, balanced finishes, and considered details that bring warmth, comfort, and lasting character to everyday spaces.

Carefully Considered

Materials are selected for their texture, tone, comfort and place in the home.

Made for Everyday Living

A thoughtful balance of visual beauty, practical use and everyday comfort.

Natural Character

Subtle variations in grain, weave, color and texture give each material its character.

Considered Details

Finishes, edges, seams and hardware are chosen to create a refined, cohesive result.

I put this console table in the entryway, and it works there. The material feels better than I expected from the photos.

The top surface looks good from the doorway and from across the room. The slim shape is easy to live with and does not interrupt the walkway.

The base keeps the scale from feeling too light. It blends with our seating better than I expected.

My wife asked where it came from, and the piece still works for the room. It is practical without feeling like a purely functional piece. The oak tone feels right for the style of the room.

This console makes cleanup easier at night. The finish has enough depth to look polished without feeling too formal.

R
Ryan Peterson

The console table finally looks like part of the room. It arrived looking like what I hoped for from the photos. I like that the wood tone adds interest without making the table look fussy.

J
June Wells

Guests said the room looked better, and the piece still works for the room. The surface is easy enough to wipe down after normal use. It works well in our front hall.

A fun accent piece that actually gets used

I put this in the reading corner of our den and took the photo on a bright Saturday morning. It’s not a staged room—the blanket, coffee mug, and my tote bag are usually right there. The ottoman is firmer than I expected, but it works really well as a footrest or an extra seat when friends come over. The pattern is definitely bold, although it blends better with our older furniture than I thought it would.

Looks great in our hallway, but it is larger than I expected

I put this console in the hallway near our front door and took this photo one morning before leaving for work. The wood grain looks beautiful in daylight, and the open arches keep it from feeling too heavy against the wall. We use the lower shelf for baskets and shoes, while the top usually ends up holding our keys, mail, and whatever the kids bring in from school. It was a little wider than I pictured, so definitely measure your space first, but it feels very sturdy and has made the entryway much more useful.

Useful storage without looking like a filing cabinet

We placed this next to the reading chair in our den, and the round shape works much better there than the square table we had before. The raffia has more visible texture in person, which gives the room some warmth without feeling too beachy. I use the drawers for reading glasses, chargers, and the remotes, although they are better for smaller things than bulky storage. The marble top is easy to wipe down and feels substantial. My only warning is that the table is much heavier than it looks, so we needed two people to move it into place. I took this photo on a normal Saturday morning with my book and coffee still sitting nearby.

Deep, comfortable, and much warmer in person

We have had this sofa in our living room for about a month, and it has become the spot where everyone ends up at night. The seat is deeper than our old sofa, which is great for stretching out, but I would definitely check the 41-inch depth if your room is tight. The leather looks taupe during the day and a little warmer under our lamps at night. It already has a few natural creases where we sit most often, which I actually prefer to leather that stays perfectly stiff. Delivery took some planning because the sofa is heavy and wide, but once it was in the room, the low profile made the space feel more open.

Plenty of storage without looking bulky

We put this along the back wall of our dining room and it holds far more than I expected. Most of our serving dishes, table linens, and the things that used to sit on the dining table are finally out of sight. The finish is a warm cream rather than a bright white, and the grasscloth texture is more noticeable when you’re standing close to it. Delivery definitely required two people because the piece is very heavy. It also sits a little lower than our previous buffet, but the long top works perfectly when we have family over for dinner. I took this picture before clearing away the kids’ backpack and grocery bag, which is honestly how the room usually looks.

The interior lights make all the difference

We bought this for the pottery and glassware we had scattered around our dining room. I took this picture at night because that’s when the cabinet looks its best—the two lights give everything a warm glow without being overly bright. The Mink finish has more texture and gray-brown variation in person than I could see online, and the rounded top keeps such a tall cabinet from feeling too heavy. It is extremely substantial, so I was glad we chose in-room delivery. The glass does show fingerprints, but they wipe off easily. I also like that the shelves don’t need to be packed full for the cabinet to look finished.
